SOS-K9 was founded in August 2022, fulfilling the lifelong dream of CEO and founder Rahmeloh "Melo" Hodge. Melo, a native of Long Beach NY, is a certified master trainer who completed his certification at National K9 Learning Center. He has successfully completed training in a wide range of areas including Basic Obedience, Advanced Obedience, Behavior Modification, Utility, Tracking, Breed Identification, Puppy Development, Scent Detection, Retrieval, Assistance Dog, and Personal Protection.

BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION
Behavior modification involves identifying and understanding the root causes of undesirable behaviors in dogs, such as aggression anxiety and disobedience. Through personalized training techniques and strategies, these behaviors are addressed and modified to improve the overall behavior and well-being of the dog. by working closely with both the dog and its owner, we create tailored plans to effectively manage and eliminate problematic behaviors, ultimately fostering a harmonious relationship between the owner and their furry companion.
BASIC & ADVANCED
OBEDIENCE TRAINING
Basic obedience involves instructing dogs in foundational commands using both verbal and nonverbal cues. Dogs are expected to execute these commands correctly upon command. Once basic obedience is mastered, dogs progress to advanced obedience, which further refines and extends these foundational commands, ensuring they can be performed reliably in any situation or amid distractions.
PUPPY DEVELOPEMENT
Our puppy development program is designed to guide owners through the crucial stages of a young pup's life. From essential skills like house training and grooming to vital aspects like socialization and safety, we provide comprehensive support to ensure a successful bond between owners and their new pet.
